Privacy

Your breaks are your business.

The short version: no account, no access to the pages you browse, and your break history stays in your browser. We do collect anonymous usage stats, and this page explains exactly what.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

What stays on your device

Your settings, reminder schedule, saved moves and break history are stored in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage and IndexedDB. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling Desk Gym removes them.

What Desk Gym can’t see

Desk Gym has no permission to read the pages you visit, your tabs or your browsing history. It asks Chrome for four things: storage (to save your settings), alarms (to schedule breaks), notifications (to remind you) and a right-click menu on its toolbar icon. It can also talk to extensionpay.com, which only matters if you buy Pro.

Anonymous usage stats

To understand which features help and to fix bugs, Desk Gym sends anonymous events to PostHog, our analytics provider, which stores them in the United States. Events describe what happened in Desk Gym, such as a break being started or finished, a reminder being snoozed, a page in the extension being opened or a setting being changed, along with the extension version. Desk Gym also sends error reports when something breaks.

Events are tied to a random identifier created by the extension, not to your name or email. Desk Gym does not record your screen, does not capture what you type and does not collect anything about the websites you visit. We don’t sell data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Buying Pro

Pro is sold through ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe to take payment. They handle your payment details and email address under their own privacy policies. Desk Gym never sees your card details.

This website

This site is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Health information

Desk Gym offers general movement guidance and is not a medical device. It does not ask about your health, and nothing you do in it is shared with anyone.
