Terms
The deal, in plain words.
These terms cover the Desk Gym extension and this website. We’ve kept them as short and readable as we could. The short version comes first.
Last updated 3 October 2026
The short version
- Desk Gym is free to use. Pro is a one-time $25 payment, not a subscription.
- The moves are general guidance, not medical advice. Stop any move that hurts.
- Not happy with Pro? Reach out and we’ll do our best to put it right.
- Your copy is for you. Don’t resell or redistribute Desk Gym or its content.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Desk Gym (“Desk Gym”, “we”, “us”) about the Desk Gym browser extension and deskgym.app. By installing or using Desk Gym, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Desk Gym. You can uninstall it at any time.
Our privacy policy explains what data Desk Gym uses and why.
Not medical advice
Desk Gym offers gentle, general movement guidance for adults. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, it is not a medical device, and it doesn’t replace a doctor, physiotherapist or other health professional.
- If you have pain, an injury or a health condition, are pregnant, or have recently had surgery, check with a health professional before trying new exercises.
- Move within a range that feels comfortable. Stop straight away if a move causes pain, dizziness, numbness or shortness of breath.
- Make sure you have room to move. Use a stable chair, and don’t lean or stand on one with wheels.
- You decide whether a move is right for you, and you take part at your own risk.
If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Using Desk Gym
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Desk Gym on browsers you control, for yourself, at home or at work. The free version is free for as long as we offer it. In return, please don’t:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Desk Gym or its moves, drawings, text or voice recordings;
- work around the checks that unlock Pro, or share a Pro purchase with other people;
- scrape the move library or use it to build a competing product;
- reverse engineer Desk Gym, except where the law allows you to;
- use Desk Gym in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
Desk Gym Pro
Pro is a one-time payment of the price shown at checkout, currently $25 USD, plus any tax. It is not a subscription: there are no renewals and nothing to cancel. Pro unlocks the Pro features described in Desk Gym and on this website, including every new move we add.
Pro is sold through ExtensionPay, and Stripe takes the payment. Their terms apply to the payment itself. Each person who uses Pro needs their own purchase. To use Pro on another browser or computer, choose “Already paid? Log in” in Desk Gym and use the email you paid with.
Pro lasts for as long as we offer Desk Gym. We may change the price for new buyers, but that never changes what you already paid.
If you’re not happy
If you’re not happy with Pro, reach out through our contact form and we’ll do our best to put it right. If we refund you, Pro is removed from your browsers.
If you’re in the UK or EU: Pro is digital content that starts working as soon as you pay. By buying it, you ask us to supply it straight away and you accept that the legal right to cancel ends once it’s supplied. This doesn’t affect your rights if Pro is faulty or not as described.
Who owns what
Desk Gym, including its code, design, move descriptions, drawings, voice recordings, name and logo, belongs to us or the people who license it to us. These terms don’t give you ownership of any of it.
Some move illustrations are adapted from Workout Guide by Bryl Lim and Everkinetic and are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. Those illustrations stay under that licence, and nothing in these terms limits what it lets you do.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we’re free to use them to improve Desk Gym without owing you anything for them.
Changes to Desk Gym
We keep improving Desk Gym, so features, moves and designs will change over time. We won’t take away Pro features you paid for unless we have a good reason, such as a legal requirement, a security problem or a browser change we can’t work around. If we ever stop offering Desk Gym, we’ll give as much notice as we reasonably can.
Other services
Desk Gym is installed from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons and depends on your browser, your operating system, ExtensionPay and Stripe. Those services have their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them. For example, your browser or operating system decides whether notifications appear.
No guarantees
We work hard to make Desk Gym reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We can’t promise it will be free of errors, or that every reminder will arrive on time, since sleep mode, focus or do-not-disturb settings and browser updates can get in the way. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises about Desk Gym, including implied promises that it suits a particular purpose. This doesn’t affect any rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability to you for any claim about Desk Gym is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Desk Gym and $25 USD.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the legal rights you have where you live.
Ending
You can stop using Desk Gym at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access, including to Pro, if you seriously break these terms, for example by redistributing Desk Gym or getting around the Pro checks. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as ownership and liability, still apply afterwards.
Law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you’re a consumer living somewhere else, you keep the protection of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Desk Gym changes. When we do, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on this page or in Desk Gym before it takes effect. If you keep using Desk Gym after that, the new terms apply.
