How to do single-arm overhead dumbbell extensions

  1. Set

    Stand tall. Hold a very light dumbbell above your head with the working elbow bent. Support the upper arm with your free hand.

  2. 1

    Straighten the working elbow upward without moving the upper arm.

  3. 2

    Keep your ribs down and the weight clear of your head.

  4. 3

    Bend the elbow slowly and keep the weight clear of your head.

  5. Switch sides and repeat.
