How to do seated side toe taps

  1. Set

Sit upright in a stable chair with feet under your knees. Rest your hands on the seat or your thighs. Leave room beside both feet.

  2. 1

Tap your right toes a short distance out to the side. Let that knee open with the foot.

  3. 2

Bring the right foot back under its knee.

  4. 3

Tap the left toes out to the side. Keep your hips on the seat.

  5. 4

Bring the left foot back. Keep an easy alternating rhythm.

Take care. Use small side steps and keep your hips on the seat. Let the knee and foot move together. Stop if you feel pain.
