How to do supported single-foot balance

  1. Set

    Stand tall beside a stable chair. Hold its back with one hand. Put your weight on the working foot.

  2. 1

    Lift the other foot just clear of the floor. Keep the working knee soft.

  3. 2

    Hold with chair support. Keep the working heel and toe pads down.

  4. 3

    Put the other foot down slowly.

  5. Switch sides and repeat.

Take care. Keep hold of a stable chair. Keep your eyes open. Put the foot down if you feel unsteady.
