How to do seated hamstring press

  1. Set

Sit upright in a stable chair with both feet on the floor. Place your working ankle in front of the other lower shin. Use the other leg as a gentle block.

  2. 1

Rest the working ankle against the front of your other lower shin.

  3. 2

Try to pull the working heel back. Let the other leg block it so neither leg moves.

  4. 3

Relax the effort while keeping the ankles in contact.

  5. 4

Uncross your ankles and rest both feet.

  6. Switch sides and repeat.

Take care. Use light effort. Keep the blocking leg still and your hips on the seat. Do not twist either knee. Stop if you feel pain.
